Our PACB© Courses
We offer two models of delivery for our PACB© courses:
Delegate Courses
One of our certified senior trainers visits your organisation or a suitable local venue and delivers a closed course designed specifically to meet the needs of your staff team. Delegate courses can be delivered both face to face and by our virtual classroom.
Train the Trainer Courses
Our train the trainer courses start with an initial 5 day programme, with the opportunity to add an additional 2 days for Instructor Plus and then a further 2 days to achieve Advanced status. Upon successful completion, delegates can return to their organisation and cascade certified training as frequently as they so choose.

Our Approach to Commissioning a PACB© Course
It is essential that the course to be delivered addresses the learning needs of the organisation and staff group. We work closely with you to agree a comprehensive Course Delivery Plan that consists of a training needs analysis and a course proposal. Consideration is then given to how best to deliver the training to ensure your organisation (small or large) receives the most effective solution at best value.
Choosing us as your training provider is making a commitment to positive culture change for many years to come
Our Process
Training Needs Analysis
Gaining an understanding of the service; the environment, model of practice, behaviours of concern and associated risks. The TNA also asks for characteristics related to both staff and service users as well as data and policy in order to develop a bespoke curriculum.
Course Proposal
A detailed response to the TNA that sets out the design of the course; learning objectives, what theory modules and physical techniques are to be included. Proposals also include any practical adjustments that need to be made for specific learners in order for them to fully participate in the course.
Delivery Options
Delegate course or a ‘train the trainer’ course; which one is best for your organisation? We also offer a range of flexible and blended training solutions from intensive face to face courses, modular delivery option e.g. periodic twilight/weekend sessions as well as virtual (online) courses.
Logistics
Where, when and how; we recognise the considerable amount of time training takes out of everyday work and home life as well as the associated costs attending training. We aim to ensure course design and choice of delivery method minimises the impact on learners as well as keeping costs to a minimum.
On-going Support
We don’t just deliver training and wave goodbye…’see you next year!’; we work in partnership with organisations to drive service improvement and produce better outcomes. From periodic quality assurance visits to offering guidance on specific Individual Behaviour Support Plans or, just sharing new developments and changes in legislation, we are always here to support you.
The Course
What to expect; our courses involve both classroom-based teaching as well as practical training that requires physical activity (where applicable).
The teaching methodology is geared towards creating a positive, engaging, and interactive learning environment. We try and avoid the ‘chalk and talk’ approach, instead, our training utilises a range of teaching methods and activities. These include experiential learning exercises, practice-based simulations, opportunities for group discussion, audio and visual presentations, scenarios and sector-specific case examples.
All training of physical techniques are conducted under calm, controlled conditions as this enhances both skill development and skill retention.
Course Administration
Our paperless administration system makes it easy to book, track and record your course. From your initial enquiry, agreeing a course proposal, booking dates and providing delegates with joining instructions, right through to issuing certificates and post course support materials, we provide a seamless process that makes it easy for you and you can be assured that all your data is kept safe.
